Dynamic Analysis of the Workforce Pattern in Construction ProcessISDC2024 PRESENTATION Certificate
The study aimed to explore the topic of construction resource management within the more general topic of planning and control of large infrastructure projects.
The System Dynamic Society is a historic American organization that takes inspiration from the works of Jay Forrester (MIT Boston) to promote the analysis of systems in all fields (economic, environmental, social and also infrastructural).
Hundreds of university works were presented at the congress, a large part of which also investigated the new topic of the relationship between System Dynamic and Artificial Intelligence.
A special thanks goes to prof. Stefano Armenia, president of the Italian chapter of the SDS (Sydic).
System Dynamics, applied to project planning and control, allows for the creation of more realistic models than Gantt-type bar charts can be. The use of dynamic models allows to support the PM in the planning and control of the project thanks to realistic forecasts. This improves the probability of success in terms of time and costs.
The System Dynamics approach therefore allows an advantage over traditional methods not only for investors and builders of large infrastructures, but also for all the stakeholders involved and for the environment in which the infrastructures are inserted thanks to the better use of the resources in play.
